EY Curriculum:

  • The Early Years Foundation Stage is referred to as the EYFS. It is a framework for children’s education and development from birth to age five that is utilised in the United Kingdom. It’s crucial because it offers a standardised method of early childhood education, guaranteeing that every kid receives excellent care and educational opportunities. The EYFS places a strong emphasis on critical areas of development, including early literacy and numeracy abilities, physical development, personal, social, and emotional growth, and communication. It gets kids ready for school and helps them lay a solid foundation for their future education.

The emphasis on individualised learning in the EYFS curriculum is another crucial feature. In order to customise their activities and support for each child, childminders work hard to learn their individual needs, interests, and abilities. Children are inspired to realise their full potential and are helped to develop a love of learning through this individualised approach. It all comes down to embracing their uniqueness and assisting them in thriving!
